Melones play Ramones LIVE - a tribute to 50+ years Ramones
MELONES, the most detailed Ramones tribute band in Germany, play their best of show as a tribute to the four original members Joey, DeeDee, Tommy and Johnny of the legendary punk rock band.

The first MELONES concerts took place back in 1987. Among others, they played at the UJZ Kornstraße, the legendary punk club in Hanover, where bands such as Black Flag, Exploited and Angelic Upstarts shook the stage.

Recently, the MELONES opened the Punk & Disorderly Festival in Berlin with punk legends Peter and the Test Tube Babies, Cockney Rejects, Discharge and Red London, among others.

From the original line-up of the MELONES, the brothers Sven and Lars - on guitar as Svenni “Holm” Melone and on drums as Lütti Melone - have been the original band members ever since. The line-up is completed by singer Dicki Melone from Berlin and bassist Tommi Melone from Hamburg.

The specialty of the MELONES is to come very close to the original, both musically and visually, in order to give the audience a perfect illusion of the Ramones. With their black leather jackets, tattered jeans, detailed wigs and the wall of sound of relentless three-chord hits, the time warp to the late 70s, when the Ramones turned the music world upside down, is perfect.
“Sheena Is A Punkrocker“, ‘Rock ’n Roll High School”, “Blitzkrieg Bop”, “Pet Semetary” and “Rockaway Beach” are among the many other classics in the MELONES live set. In the legendary energetic Ramones style, a One-Two-Three-Four is thrown in between the songs.

The last Ramones studio album “Adios Amigos” (1995) was released 30 years ago. One more reason to celebrate the music of the unique Ramones Live.
